Reclaim

'New Grace'

I forgot to tell you about a charity exhibition
I was a part of last month!

'Reclaim' was held in New York
and curated by illustrator Mimi Leung for DACS United.

Here are a few of my favorite pieces from the show:

It's a great cause and if you would like to learn more
about DACS or see pics from the show,
have a little look-see here!

Have you seen all of the finalists?
I cannot believe how amazing they all are!

New Form

I wish I was going to be in Sydney
this week for the opening of
Hollie Martin's second solo show.

It opens on Friday
at China Heights gallery
in Surry Hills and runs until the 14th of October.

Her kaleidoscopic compositions are amazing
so if you are in town,
be sure to get along to this one!

Rusalka

(Above photo taken by Matthew Grant via the image science blog)

Here is my piece for
the Creature Feature exhibition
in all her spooky glory!

Limited edition A2 sized prints
are available from the gallery for $160.

Or if you are after something a little smaller,
I have 8x10" or 5x7" prints
available in my Etsy store.

The exhibition is on until the 17th of September,
so you've still got time,
but if you can't make it down to No Vacancy,
you can see more photos of the show

If you need some fancy fine art printing,
I highly recommend them,
and they also did a little post
on how they print my work for me,
so if you are interested in that kind of thing,
have a look here.

True Self

Here are the two pieces I worked on for the True Self Exhibition!

The top one was in collaboration
with the amazingly talented Kristy Milliken
and the bottom was with the super lovely Amanda Upton.

Do you have a spare $200.oo?
Feel like doing a nice deed for a worthy charity?
Want to buy a very special piece of artwork?
There are still some pieces
from the exhibition available for sale!

Chain Mail

The Jacky Winter Group have teamed up
with Melbourne's GPO for a collaborative charity exhibition opening this Friday.
From the 1st until the 24th of June,
the whole first floor will be transformed
into a purpose built gallery showcasing
the artwork of 52 pretty amazing illustrators, fine artists, photographers and fashion designers,

Each A3 piece is begun by one artist
and then sent to a second who completes the artwork,
pretty clever, huh?

It gets better, all of the original artworks
will be for sale at the exhibition
with the proceeds going to Fitted For Work, a not-for-profit initiative helping disadvantaged women find employment.

AND
I was lucky enough to be one of the artists
invited to participate!!
I have collaborated with two unbelievably talented artists,
(hopefully they won't be disappointed!).

You can see previews of some of the works here, here and here!

Little Deities

So, I have had this creepy little doll staring down at me
for about a month or so now
and it's almost time for her to go to her new home.
(I know she's a girl because she has pink knickers)

If you live in Melbourne, and would like to meet her,
she will be at

No Vacancy gallery
8th - 18th of March 2012

And she won't be alone,
quite the opposite in fact,
she will have 59 weird little friends that have been decorated by some of the most amazing illustrators in Melbourne,
including:
just to name a few!

See Me Everywhere

Have you seen the latest issue of Paper Runway magazine?
Lilly Piri,Francisca Prieto & LoSiento have all contributed,
and there is an interview about me!
It is such a sweet publication
and I am super excited to be included.

And, if you are in Melbourne next week,
I will be selling prints at the Magnolia Square market in the St Kilda town hall on November 11th, 12th & 13th.
They always put on a great event,
so it is well worth the visit.

And, I am almost finished my Diploma in Illustration,
which means our graduating exhibition,
is this week at Chapel Off Chapel,
in Melbourne on Tuesday the 8th of November.
The ridiculously talented Landells made the artwork
for the flyer, by the way!

And, if you are Brisbane,
make sure you come say 'hi!'
at the Finders Keepers market this weekend!

No wonder I am so tired...

Les Lumieres

Last night I went and had a peep
at the new Miso exhibition, 'Les Lumieres'
in the No Vacancy space at Fed Square.
It was very beautiful, I wanted everything.
I'm very greedy you see.
