I always thought mushrooms like this only existed in books about fairies and children lost in forest. Until today! We found this lonely little fungi in Caulfield park all by itself. I really wanted to rip it out of the ground to keep and draw at my leisure, but something told me that might be bad luck. So I left it behind for a big goose to eat and took a little white feather instead. It's just not as special though is it?
can't wait to go get a copy of uppercase magazine. I only discovered it existed last week and then I saw it in mag nation the other day! I had a quick flick through and the inside looks just as good as the out, I've been a fan of matte stephens' work for quite some time now, it makes me want to go catch a tram with a bear. I still need to have the prints I were given for christmas framed, eek!
I am researching collage illustrations for a new assignment and came across the dreamy work of Eleanor Wood. I especially like the one with the polar bear, I've been learning some very interesting things about polar bears & not all of them are nice... cheeky, vicious polar bears!
I am having a sale on etsy of my BELAFONTE art prints for the next three days. It's buy one, get one free which I think is a pretty sweet deal so if this sounds like something you might be interested in visit my shop and write down which print you would like for free in a note to the seller at the checkout.
I have a quiet pom pom obsession at the moment. I am wondering how big you can go before you look ridiculous. But maybe that's the point? Personally, i think the bigger the better...
